Texas Christian UniversityTexas Christian University (often shortened to TCU) is located in Fort Worth, Texas. Its mascot is the horned frog. Its school colors are purple and white. About 8000 students attend the school. The institution is affiliated with the religious denomination known as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Sports
TCU, nicknamed the Horned Frogs, competes in NCAA sports as a member of Division I (I-A in football). It is a member of Conference USA, but will leave that conference in 2005 and join the Mountain West Conference. The school's most famous athlete was the football player Sammy Baugh; among currently-active athletes, the best-known TCU product is another NFL star, LaDainian Tomlinson.
